Where’s the Money Come From?
  • The Fallbrook FireSafe Council
    is a 501(C3) non profit organization.

Accomplishments
  • Hosted Neighborhood Fire Safety Forums
  • Delivered ‘Smokey the Bear’ signs for partner communities
  • Created wildfire ‘phone tree’ to advise of fire danger and evacuation potential

October 2004 Grant
  • Received grant for fire sensor technology in conjunction with:

  • Linked with SBA’s Office of Advocacy in Washington, D.C.
  • San Diego Union Tribune, Village News & No. County Times:
    • Published tips for rebuilding lives after fire; victim support information
  • Provided costing to Hollingsworth and Horn’s office on reverse 911 system

  • Introduced Ambient Controls technology to CDF and North County Fire groups
  • Assisted in getting blue fire hydrant reflectors installed
  • Hosted discussion meetings with SD County Sheriffs and NC Fire dept’s on evacuation issues
  • Held first vegetation abatement community meeting
